Apple attacks Android via the Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Apple wants to ban the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in the United States. The apple firm would she afraid of this new high-performance smartphone, which is likely to shade the iPhone 4? Or does she want to attack Android through Samsung?

The two giants of electronics are used to making war, but Apple would make it a matter of principle? Already the Cupertino company had filed a complaint for infringement against the Galaxy Tab, but the German courts had not followed up. Samsung's tablet can therefore be marketed in Germany. Now, it is in the United States that Apple wants to ban the Galaxy Nexus.
The appeal for violation of four patents was filed late last week at the Northern California District Court, to ban the sale of the Galaxy Nexus, the only smartphone running Android 4.0. In addition, the Galaxy Nexus is part of mobile club shipping the original version of Android, not modified by the manufacturer.

But in reality, these attacks reveal that the firm with the apple simply has the Android ecosystem in its viewfinder. Each time, the functionalities involved are specific to the operating system and not to the terminal. In this case, four patents are involved: the data-detectors link detection system, the "drag to unlock", the word suggestion system and the search for multiple sources of information from an interface.
All these features are also present on other ecosystem like Windows Phone. So, will Apple declare war on all its competitors, at the risk of losing its credibility? In addition, the outcome of this battle may well disrupt the deployment of Android Ice Cream Sandwich because this is the first time that Apple attacks Android so directly.
